This really is great fun. Hope you enjoy this as much as we did!
If you can pronounce correctly every word in this poem, you will be speaking English better than 90% of the native English speakers in the world. After trying the verses, a Frenchman said he’d prefer six months of…

The "township learning solutions" is to do with Edunova, an organisation I co-founded with John Thole in South Africa in 2004. With so many computer labs being dropped into twonship schools the education department was looking for solutions to getting the labs used. Edunova employs young people in the townships who then work in the schools with the teachers and kids to help them start using ICT in learning. I'm no longer involved operationally but remain a trustee. John continues to lead the organisation and is doing some brilliant things.

Thanks for your comment. I actually had a brief stint at an oyster farm near Oban, Scotland, with a company called Caledonian Oyster Company. The owner was a Frenchman, Hugo Vajk, and he runs it together with his wife, Judy. We used the Pacific Oyster and experimented with it quite successfully in line with the Scottish currents and climate.
I worked together with a fellow South African, Maarten Bootsma, on the farm. It truly was the most beautiful and memorable moment of my working career. Would dearly like to get out to Saldanha and Walvis Bay to bring back memories of a different tune!

Christian MARTIN said… Good Morning Huddlemind Labs,
Thanks for you Welcome comment, It feels good to be accepted in a new community. My only human contact with South Africa is through a Train the Trainers Training session I held 10 years ago (in Paris) with participants from whole Africa.

Christian MARTIN said… Hi,
My clients are adults, mainly from very large companies. For example from the Banking industry. I'm a coach, a consultant, a project manager, a courseware designer, trainer, e-moderator depending on the context and project. At the moment, I'm focusing on the subject of Communities of Practice - and searching for case studies in the banking industry.
Thanks for your speedy feedback, that's good practice ;-) - I know how much energy this requires.
Regards
PS: For those who care about literature, I've just finished reading a French translation of "Hierdie Lewe" by Karel Shoeman - good reading ...
