Our Huddle this morning on how to win while living locally and studying globally was put into perspective with a piece in the Huffington Post on Big Co. buy-up of accredited universities that front for distance/online learning corporations: Buying…

Your tweets, legalised

Posted on January 27, 2011 at 7:30pm 4 Comments

Every once in a while a tweet breaks from the noisy throng and makes it into the mainstream. Whether quoted in print, on TV, conference presentation or finding extended existence in a doctoral thesis, if it's your tweet you may care about how others use it, and have you pondering rather urgently on the question: …

Nemo solus satis sapit. Nobody alone is smart enough

Doing something difficult and dangerous, together with a band of people who you respect and trust (not necessarily agree with - in fact it helps if you don't)  tends to produce rich, thrilling human experiences with the delightfully reliable result of helping us civilised humans feel most alive.

Demanding quests that offer no choice but for the assembled minds to creatively cobble together experiments, to push beyond mental, physical or emotional thresholds and stare…

Experiments in Design for Learning.Collaboration.Knowledge Creation

Every time I come onto Huddlemind.net the site gets a redesign :-/

[surely I should've outgrown the ADD by now!]

In part it's because I'm testing new features and code seems inextricably linked with design in my mind.

But the other is that I really believe that atmospherics matter. The environments in which we work, play, choose to hang out in, feel inspired in are integral to the quality of our experience. There's a BRILLIANT book worth diving into on a wintery afternoon "Design… Continue

Thanks Max - hope you are well.
We recently had a "brainstorming" session about our website with Dave listening and adding his feedback. Cape Chat is now in the process of working out a strategy for www.capechat.com - exciting! We are also looking for a Sales Consultant to sell advertising space in the Cape Chat printed newspaper - if you know anybody ... please send our way. How are you doing? What are you working on at the moment? Cheers, Alice Delete Comment

Yup coming to the lab, what time in the morning (on the 19th) works for you? Been doing a lot of thinking re: storytelling and have more to discuss with you. I keep forgetting that I only really decided to focus my efforts a little under two months ago. Website is now a go, so should have that up in a few weeks. Also looking at the rest of my communications strategy. But we can chat later. xx

The Trump doesn't have enough money to save his hairdo. So I have a business idea I'd like to execute on but would need to speak with people on viability, commercialization and funding. Thought the huddlers might be a good start. Also Eric pretty soon.

What's the process to get the huddlers interested?

Hi Max

Thanks for kind words - I don't know about "wonder woman" but we had great fun! I am sorry that you missed it! I do hope that you will be able to join us for Ben Zander in August?

Louise

Ps. I love your site, design etc. Any chance that you may be up for doing something for us? We are in desperate need of a site and I am pleading www-tech-phobia
