HUDDLEMIND

Networking. Education. Technology.

Today a colleague sent me a link to the Wishful Thinking blog (from poet and business coach Mark McGuinness), so (instead of working) I spent most of the morning reading his free e-book Time Management for Creative People. Most of the information is already out there in some form, but he's a good writer, and that makes a difference.

He publishes another free e-book I haven't yet dipped into, which might interest some Huddleminders: Creative Management for Creative Teams.

I tend to find these kinds of things rather too wordy, so generally condense them to a single screen of usable hints. I might even share these at some point, when I can manage my time well enough to make them readable for others...

Thanks Dave, I am reading it. Love to see your single screen summaries sometime.

Here's a link or two that might interest you - TsiBA, a college her ein Cape Town I have bene lucky enough to have some involvement in: http://www.tsiba.org.za/, and a Youtube video about its parent organsiation CIDA: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMmKM9wAOcc (their website is down but you can access bits -
eg http://www.cida.co.za/2.5_Holistic_education/Holistic_education.html )

That's a brilliant and inspiring project! I wonder how useful links might be made between TsiBA and education establishments in the UK?

At the risk of going off-topic, I'm also wondering if TsiBa use/advocate open-source software? It would make sense. I keep getting the urge to start a new discussion... perhaps seeded by Paul Graham's What business can learn from open source essay, or the Open Source Initiative's Open Source Case for Business - a good idea, or are there already Huddleminders better qualified to bring this up?

I think you should start it Dave, it's a great idea - everyone interested will pitch in and share their views. As the network grows it will become a richer discussion too.

Dave, I'll second Jon on that (Hello again Jon :)

Okay, I'll try to open up a discussion with some useful links. But first, breakfast!
