HUDDLEMIND

I could tell you that the UCT Graduate School of Business (GSB) was voted 49th in the World for customised Executive Education in 2010.  I could also tell you that it was voted ‘Best Business College in Africa.’  But you knew that already.  So what if I told you that it is not a business college but a window to another world, a globe, a map, a ticket? And that it is built upon a foundation of Curiosity, but it is up to you to discover its magic?  What would you think?  Would you believe me?
Elaine Rumboll heads up the Executive Education Department.  She is a singer, a poet, an artist and incredibly passionate about Innovation, Design and Leadership Development. It is through this eccentric mix that Elaine has come up with a diverse curriculum.  Programmes range from Leadership Development, Strategy, Sales and Marketing, Finance and Project Management.  This all sounds pretty usual for a Business College you might say.  So what makes it different?

Curiosity Recipe:
Take three days of  The Nomadic Marketing.  Then mix in 13 weeks  of Business Acumen for Artists.  Sprinkle in the Women in Leadership Programme.  Now whip them altogether and what do you get? Magic.

Education is changing. We are working and doing business differently too.  So shouldn’t the way we learn be an adventure?

Thank you for your lovely post on our unit. It is always gratifying to see the work appreciated. We operate in a space where we are privileged enough to be able to experiment and it is posts like these which give us the energy to continue doing the work. Thank you.
