We at Messy Monkey work with corporations & other similar groups in training.
We help facilitate "experience", we feast & embellish, we wine &
dine our clients as they well-deserve; feeding them freshly-squeezed
juices, taking them to unexpected & jaw-dropping venues, whilst being
serenaded by spontaneous opera duets, or possibly bluegrass bands.
And, on this same note, we like to ask our clients to leave their head,
fears, apprehensions, & inhibitions at the office; & draw outside the
lines for a moment. So, after a relaxing & refreshing warm-up, we may
also ask them to: paint with their feet, turkey basters, & brooms,
"speak a bit of gibberish", &/or relay-race through town on bouncy
balls & hula hoops (for example!). And then, we like to celebrate
them & their work, via champagne & wine, at their own "gallery show"
But, this is the tip of the iceberg! Soon our work will also involve
pillow (& cupcake?!) fights on rooftops, followed by fancy greek
dinners (plate-smashing & all!), games of tomato baseball at
miscellaneous farms, followed by gourmet 4-course "breakfast for
dinner" feasts (in pajamas); white linens & the works, on the beach at
moon/candlelight.
ABOUT ME:
THE FOUNDER/INSTIGATOR:
I am a creative consultant & conceptual artist from Oakand/San
Francisco California, & Cape Town, South Africa.
I am fascinated by movement, large gestures, color, beauty, taste.
texture, & thinking outside the box.
I got my degree in interior architecture from the University of
Oregon, where my vision of "outside the box" thinking, & breaking
so-called "rules" began to emerge. I feasted on conceptual delights
in my studios, & was completely mesmerized, in this same vein, by my
modern dance classes.
I've since become a serial entrepeneur. I have a plethora of
tricks up my sleeve for small businesses, documentaries, & fundraising
events. But, in the meantime, I also paint, playing with the
abstraction of words/letters, dance, sing, & am hugely interested in
large-scale installation art & photography. I just bought a
surfboard, and have a 9-month old, tasty baby.
I've been selling apples for an orchard out of the Sierra Nevada
foothills (in California) for 7 years. I have a serious love for
gorgeous, delectable produce, farmer's markets, edible schoolyards, & the outdoors.
