Open Access Books on the Digital Media and Learning from MIT

The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Series on Digital Media and Learning examines the effect of digital media tools on how people learn, network, communicate, and play, and how growing up with these tools may affect peoples sense of self, how they express themselves, and their ability to learn, exercise judgment, and think systematically. Thanks to the generous support of the MacArt… Continue

Kabissa.org: Time To Get Online

While doing my usual browse through Muti this morning, I came across an article referencing Kabissa.org , stating that it had a new design. Kabissa seems like a super initiative to promote technology as a revolutionary force for change in Africa. It connects organizations that use technology to dri… Continue

The Basic Fundamentals of Success

One of my favourite quotes is by Jim Rohn:

"Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the basic fundamentals".

It got me thinking about everything that I do, and realising that the sustainability of any success comes down to having good habits in place. This applies, especially to company culture.

HI Dave, I'm a bit stuck. I want to create my own social network like facebook, but aimed at a targeted community. Can I do this myself or will I need to pay a web developer? I find no free "create your own social community" website services like Wordpress. Or should I speak to the zoopy guys?

Cheers!
Rob

Hi Dave, thanks for your comment, I am feeling quite overwhelmed by all the possible courses of action this research could take me. (Visual Literacy in Education, Visual Facilitation in business, Visual Strategy...)However, I am finding it hard to locate 'hard academic' research in this area. I am open to any feedback, if you are available and nearby, any chance of a chat over coffee?

Hi Dave, don't know where to post interesting stuff for you, but I bet you'll enjoy what Scott Adams did on http://www.dilbert.com/mashups/punchline/

He invites the readers to fill in the punchline at the end and have others rate it.

Social Web 2.0 at it's best.

Hi Dave

It was great coming to talk to us about your work during the HenleyMBA International travel to SA last week.
I'm working on " The Key Success Factors of Small Winery. The case of South Africa". I remember you mentioned you did some work for a winery (Storemount?). I was wondering if you could link me up with them as I need to interview a few winery in SA as part of my field work investigation.

Regards
Alex

Yeah...why I look like a man? Don't you have girlie silloettes? Glad you doing well pups! We all good here, just cannot wait to come home for a little visit. I'm sure the network offers a wealth of opportunities. Would like to explore more and maybe catch up with some of the members. I love the personal page elements; blog etc. Guess I can use yours as the ideal model. Online all day everyday so feel free do nudge me when you available. X
